Introduction

Yoga is a fun, sweat-inducing practice that anyone can do.  But there are some interested people out there who just can’t find the time to commit to a yoga studio, or are too embarrassed to do it with other people around.

Fortunately, this doesn’t have to be a big problem. YouTube is composed of all kinds of videos – free yoga routines included.  In other words, you are more than free to start doing yoga in the comfort of your own home.  That said, here’s a compilation of the top yoga channels you can find:

1. Yoga with Adriene

Yoga with Adriene, hosted by Adriene Mishler, is one of the most popular yoga channels out there – with at least 3.5 million subscribers.  She talks to you, the viewer, in such a casual and friendly manner that you just can’t help but feel relaxed when watching her videos.

She treats you like a friend, which definitely eases the nerves for those who are only just beginning.  Her videos have themes that cater to emotions, such as yoga for anxiety, depression, stress, etc.  She also has 30-day yoga challenges with certain themes.  If you’re looking for a more casual learning experience, then this channel is a good place to start.

2. Yoga with Kassandra

Similarly, Yoga with Kassandra is also another great channel subscribe to whether you are a new yogi or a pro.  Kassandra has a really calm and soothing voice, allowing you to loosen up during your practice.  Her videos are fairly short, too, ranging from 10 minutes to 60 minutes.  So, whether you barely have any free time or you have an hour to spare, you will definitely find a suitable video for you here.

If you’re not only interested in yoga but in massages and an overall healthy lifestyle, then PsycheTruth is the channel for you.  Their yoga videos cater to all kinds of people and all kinds of needs – from yoga for flexibility, to stretching, to pain relief.

Their videos are perfect for at-home or outdoor practice, depending on your personal preferences.  Besides yoga, you will find tutorials on body massages, as well as tips on health and proper ways to do a certain pose.  They post a video practically every day, so you won’t run out of good, quality content.

4. Boho Beautiful

Boho Beautiful is a channel run by husband and wife, Juliana Semenova and Mark Spicoluk. One thing that makes their videos stand out is the fact that they are also avid travelers, so their yoga videos are filmed in different beautiful locations.

Besides yoga, though, they also post other content, such as pilates, meditation, and the like. There are also vlog-like videos where they talk about the kinds of food they eat in a day, adventures and parties they have gone to, as well as videos where they talk about their relationship and struggles they experience. This YouTube channel is hosted by Lesley Fightmaster, containing videos that cater to both beginners and to expert yogis.  Fightmaster Yoga has a variety of videos available, ranging from yoga for weight loss, for energy, for back pain, and so much more.

She places a very high importance on mental and physical well-being, as well.  Just like Yoga for Adriene, this channel also has 30-day yoga challenges available, with quick yet challenging videos that will help you improve yourself mentally and physically.  This means it’s not a problem whether you are busy or not – Fightmaster Yoga will have something for you.

6. Brett Larkin Yoga

Everything related to yoga (and more), you will find it at Brett Larkin’s yoga channel. She offers yoga videos for beginners as well as ones with themes such as yoga for detox.  Besides that, though, you will find product reviews on yoga-related items, and even tips and advices that will significantly help you on your yoga journey.

Her yoga-related videos are posted on Mondays, however, she has videos on philosophy, as well.  For these ones, she posts them every Friday.  While others may have 30-day challenges, Brett Larkin has 18-day ones.  This doesn’t mean the challenges don’t pack a punch, though!

On top of all that she has to offer, BrettLarkin Yoga interviews health experts, too. You will be able to hear these interviews in her podcast.

Tara Stiles Yoga is a channel by Tara Stiles, who as more than 300 thousand followers.  She teaches you yoga poses, among others, that suit both experts and amateurs.  She also has guest instructors in her videos to spice things up.

What’s great about this channel is that the poses being taught are easy to follow.  In other words, you don’t have to waste a lot of precious time trying to figure out how to do a pose.

Tara Stiles is actually a game changer in the yoga community, as she created the Strala Yoga.  Despite all the backlash she received – due to her unconventional ways of teaching – she never backed down and continues to do what she loves.

Children no longer have to miss out on practicing yoga, thanks to the Cosmic Kids Yoga channel.  The yoga poses and lessons in this channel fully cater to the young ones, making sure that the poses are easy to follow and understand.

What’s more, the videos will definitely catch and keep the interest of a child, since it has bright and fun backgrounds.  Besides having tutorials of various yoga poses, there are themed videos as well where the host goes on a yoga adventure in a fictional world.

With 30-day yoga challenges and various other kinds of content, Yoga with Tim is a growing and thriving community with nearly 200 thousand followers.  However, unlike other yoga channels, Tim uses models to show and teach the right way to do yoga poses.

Led by the yogi Kino MacGregor, this YouTube channel is great for those who are a little more advanced.  With over 20 years of teaching yoga, Kino has a ton of experience and is great with breaking down more advanced postures with clarity.  

She has over 500k subscribers, so she must be doing something right to keep growing.
